My ex is starting to come around- is he thinking about getting back together?

He’s starting to talk to me more, call me by my cute nicknames (Baby, Babe) and laughing when we talk- he even started to say, "I love you" when we say goodbye (I know it might be reflex, but…) He even started asking me questions about other guys- especially one that he knows has a thing for me)- when I told him nothing was happening- I was still single, he was more talkative and open to me.
IS he possibly thinking about us getting back together?
We broke up because of long distance- he’s in school on the West Coast and I’m in Florida. It was getting hard.

Its possible you are giving him the wrong signals by letting him tell you he loves you and by allowing him to call you babe, make yourself clear and ask him niot to call you pet names as this reminds you of when you both were dating,
