I messed up in the past, and my ex is trying to forgive me so we can move on, I want to do cute things for him to show him i want him back more than anything.

why dont you write him a card, maybe your not the type to express your feelings verbally all the time, write him a card telling him how much you care etc etc, I know the thoughtful things from my gf matter more than anything else.
this question doesnt make sense…if he wants you back…he would make that known to you..when will women learn if it comes back to you its yours if it doesnt it never was…
