Would you consider getting back together with an ex?

I think second chances are a bad idea. There was a reason for the split in the first place, and chances are, the reason will still be there the second time.
(Although I have had weak moments and gone against that opinion)

I would always consider it, but as you say it really depends why they were an ex in the first place. What made you attracted to them in the first place is still there. Good luck with your choices.
I would have my boyfriend back in a heartbeat if he decides thats what he wants. he’s gone off to "do his own thing". I really thought we’d get married, I don’t want anybody else.
My ex and I split up a little over two years ago and we have remained best friends ever since. I honestly dont know why we split and I try to avoid talking about it. I would like to have a second chance, now, especially since we are both a lot closer than we used to be. I honestly think it would work out; the only thing is that I’ll be leaving in a few months so that would only make it hurt a lot more.

It is so hard especially if you loved the other person. Typically, if it isn’t a messy break, people try to remain friends, but inevitably one person’s feelings are usually stronger than the other’s and then feelings just get hurt. To be honest, there is only one ex I have not thought about getting back together with, even a few I broke up with. When you’re lonely it seems like a quick fix. Better to just hold out for someone who hasn’t already messed things up…as hard as that might be.
