I am suffering from severe PPD after my 3rd child. I am having trouble falling in love with my husband again?

I am having trouble falling in love with my husband again?? I’m not quite sure what to do about it. I want nothing to do with him. I’m pulling away from family functions….I’ve been through several medications and they all screw me up in different ways…..I can’t handle it anymore….

O sweetie, that must be so hard. So confusing and such a painful time for you. Im so proud of you for being brave enough to seek help and to admit that you have these things going on. This is a very stressful time and the hormonal changes your body has been through is making it even worse. You have tried several medications but have you tried a second oppinon? ( a different doctor? a therapist?) Join a support group too. It helps so much to talk to others going through similar stuff. Just call the mental health center or even The WIC program in your area and ask them if they can refer you.
Dont stop looking for help till you get it. Sometimes it seems like you may be at the end of your rope and you feel like a guinea pig….but it takes some trial and error to figure it all out. Its so hard to be patient cause you want to feel better right now! and have it all fixed NOW. Plus its got to be so hard being a mom right now. Do you have friends or a supportive relative? How supportive is your hubby? Dont give up….and if you feel like you cant make it….well you can go to a hospital and stay and they will run tests and you can rest.
Good luck and hang in there, you will find a way.

Stop using Meds. … and rekindle your marriage … go on dates it’s just based on ur insecurity and how hard life gets after having 3 kids!!

love is a choice, not a feeling. You chose to love your husband. It’s not going to feel all fuzzy all the time.

Oh my … please see the DR again. I am sure there is a medication out there that will help. You need to be seeing a counselor too.
Do not worry about your husband, your children right now, focus on YOU. Get yourself well … and YOU will. It just takes time, and finding the right combination of meds. Do not give up …now go treat yourself to something special. Mmmm like a new pair of shoes or handbag or even a ice cream! Laugh, laughter is good for the soul.

Medications just make you feel numb. Maybe try without for awhile and take some more natural approaches. Try counseling, massage, aromatherapy.. other forms of actually solving the problem instead of drugging it. Definitely reflect on the good memories you have. Sometimes that’s all it really takes..

My wife and I chose counseling, it’s the only way to go. You have to have your head on straight before you can think straight. I don’t believe love is a choice, it’s an emotion a very strong one. I don’t think you lose it, you may not recognize it now but, maybe with counseling, it will come back.
