Is there any relief to the pain of a breakup?

August 25th, 2009 by admin | Filed in Getting Over An Ex

I was with my gf for over a year. We broke up in April of this year. Tonight, I’m depressed because I’m really in deep thought about her. Is there any relief of the pain? Does the pain in your heart from a breakup ever end? Is there anyway to make the time that it takes to heal quicker? How long does it take for your heart to heal?

P.S. I’m 16 years old. I still love her a lot. She was the one who dumped me in April.
She dumped me because of I stupid mistake I made which I regret doing.

I’m not sure if there’s any real relief for the pain, other than to realize that if it happened, it happened for a reason. And what’s meant to happen in the end, will. The pain may not completely go away depending on how much you really care for a person, but it’ll ease up within time. Once you move on, the pain won’t even be there more than likely.

To make it go by quicker, focus on doing things that make you happy. Hang out with friends, spend time with the family, go out to the movies, meet new people in school, take up a new hobby or a new sport. there’s alot you can do to at least keep your mind off of it.

There’s no set time on how long it’ll take your heart to heal. It just depends on how much you’re willing to let go of the situation, because you can’t control that it’s over.

Don’t stress about it, focus on yourself, and try to be happy. You’ll find somebody new.

In time things will get better. You will still think about her because if you loved her you would never forget her, but you will learn to move on. Just hang out with your friends and keep yourself occupied. It helped me when I broke up with my ex.

The pain sucks- I know. It feels like your chest is crushing. You do get over it though. For a year-long relationship, it may take a few months. Hang out with friends and get into hobbies to take your mind off of it.

Keep your head up- times heals everything.

there are many fish in the ocean as what others say and beside you are too young to suffer pain in that breakup . Why not wasting your time answering some question in yahoo it can easily lost boredom and you can easily heal the pain of your breakup. Other suggestion why not getting serious with your studies or be a member of any school organization and I am sure you can find more friends or a girlfriend more than that girl that dumped you.

It will get better. Right now it hurts and it will until you find the new hottie. You are young, just like she came in your life and you thought you loved her, you will find someone else and be in love all over again. This will keep happening over and over until you get into your playboy stage and then it will happen again for the last time when you’re about 27 and you ‘re ready to get married.
