Have you ever had an ex boyfriend come back a few weeks later?

My boyfriend of 5 months just broke up with me about 4 days ago. He says he needs "time to himself." He claims that he still "loves me with all of his heart," and "wants to be friends," but he just wants to be by himself right now. I’m hoping that if he has a few weeks to himself he’ll come back. Has that ever happened to anyone? Your boyfriend just needed a few weeks to himself and then wanted to get back with you?
firstly hun i know how you feel! your afraid he wont come back but any guy that tells you he loves you with all his heart will come back. it happened to me last year my boyfriend of 4 months said the exact say thing and at the start i was completely freaking out i though it was his way of subtley breaking up but i completely miss read the situation she really did just need to be on his own for a while! at the start i wanted to text him all the time but i stopped myself and he came back to me just like he said! so dont worry or freak out give it some time he’ll be back it could be a day and week or a little longer but hang in there! the time apart will do you both some good!

thats when you turn them down, then there thinking "wtf ?! i thought she loved me!" if he does come running back, turn him down. he could have sorted things out with you without dumping you if he truly loved you. move on and find someone else (:

he came back to me. i rejected him.
it seems to me that he’s trying not to hurt you and he’s letting you go easily. He’s hoping that after a few weeks that you will get used to being without him and letting you go will be easier for him.
In these next few weeks do your own thing and even though you will be missing him and wondering why etc just take time to concentrate on yourself and hang with your girlfriends. Trust me, this is some kind of test or game so don’t play into it and sit around for weeks wondering if his dying love is going to bring him back. He’s got a plan of his own so get a plan of your own and try your best not to give him more room in your life than he deserves.
I am almost 30 and my first boyfriend (from when I was 14) is STILL trying to come back… We got back together for a very short while a few years ago and the dummy keeps trying to "make it work". I am married now and am much happier without that jerk. People break up for a reason, just remember that!!
i’ve never been in a break up, never want to. But its probably going to b more than a couple weeks. I’m sorry thats not the answer you want but probably the truth.
Oh yeah, they always come back to me. Only I have a strict policy that I don’t take them back -ever. The worst mistake I ever made was taking one back. I liked to never rid myself of that loser.
Look, when a guy does that…he found someone he thought was better than you and then that person dissed him. So to make himself feel "loved" and not so "hurt" he came back. Otherwise, if she gave him half a chance again –he’d do what he did to you again.
Why would you want to get back with someone who is not sure they want you.. I do not get why girls think this is ok or that you are special if he does come back. If he thought you were special, you would not have left in the first place. He needs to just move on and so do you. If you take him back, he knows he can do whatever and you will take it. I am sorry but I think it is almost more negative that you would even want to have your question answered. Let him leave.
