My ex girlfriend and I had been together for over 2 years and we have decided to take a break to see other people and "figure out what we both want" in her words. Its been about a month now, and we still talk here and there… usually just the occasional text message. I’d like to get back together with her but I want to respect her wish to take some time.

What should I do to make her want to try again. Its a fine line between making them miss you, and being forgotten all together. I’ve heard so many different theories as to leaving them alone etc., but to me that just seems liek an invitation for them to date other people. Also, I don’t want to escape being her boyfriend, and being placed into the dreaded "friend zone"

If anyone could provide some advice I’d appreciate it. My only worry is she’s very close to her Mom, and as much as she told me she really liked me, she told my girlfriend she didnt think I was the "one" for her. Not sure that helps my cause.

Ok well, He goes to a different school but he plays baseball and football with my cousin. Thats when I see him. We went out for 3 months then went out on our first date. Then his friend that HATES me started making up rumors and I dumped him because people lied and told me it was my ex who spread the rumors, not his friend. Now I see him when I go to my cousins games and all i want to tell him is I want him back. But idk how. Should I text him or call him? Or tell him in person? What do I say? He likes another girl. I think he’s trying to make me jealous. But I told him we need to take a break when i dumped him. Soooo to me the breaks over. I want him back. I’m REALLY shy around him. Idk y though. I was engaged to this guy for a year and two months and though it was bumpy we were extremely happy. i have packed many of his things but everything bothers me. anywhere i go that we went together burns like so bad and when i hear the song we first danced to i completely break down. he left me out of the blue for his ex girlfriend. he was my first real committed relationship and i’m just not getting over it. please help. what can i do?
