ok. my ex and i started dating in January of "09". we just broke up in February of 2010. we had spent every day together. that is until i went away to college. i was only 17 when i got with him. he was my first love and my FIRST. we became extremely close with each others family and friends. i even fell in love with his 5 year old son. YES he has a kid. him and his baby momma broke up when his son was 3. after i went away to school the relationship became strained. about a month ago i found out that he had cheated on me with her. i broke up with him even though he tried to convince me that it will never happen again. since i would not give him another chance, i guess he decided to make things work with her. i go home for spring break in a couple of days and i have made it my goal to get him back. i need ANY advice on how to rekindle my old flame.
PLEASE: no bullsh*t about how i can do better or he will cheat again or i shouldnt come between them. these are all things i have thought deeply about and i realized that he is who i want to be with!
ok for all you negitve nancy’s thanks for the abuse. but to let you all know, she KNEW him and i were together and she is a horrible mother. she has 3 kids 3 different daddys. i can HONESTLY say that i spent more time with their son then her. he called me crying last week asking me why i dont play with him anymore.

I got dumped a month ago, a couple of days of pleading now and then failed completely, and now we’re barely on speaking terms. I’m trying to recover but it’s taking a lot longer than I expected.
There are all these articles and ebooks and programs online from ‘dating coaches’ that claim to give you advice or even training on how to get your ex back, are any of them for real?

Did any guy here have this experience, only with a good ending?

my wife went to florida earlier this year for her friends marriage. I as at home working and taking care of our son. While there she met a guy and became close to him. I found out about thier emotional affair a couple of days after she came back.. she swears up and down that nothing sexual happened between them and none of the im’s or emails suggest anything else. She talked to this guy for about 3 weeks on the phone and on the internet. I asked her to cut it off with him and she did. Since the beginning of July I have seen no phone calls, text messages or anything on the internet bewteen them.. but i just don’t feel comfortable trusting her. She says she has no contact with him and does not want to talk to him anymore.. she says she knows she was wrong and loves me and our son to much to do anything stupid like that again.. how do i trust the wife i love again

Hypothetically, say that you put in a lot of effort on his birthday and gifts and when your birthday strolls along and he forgets (no gift, no party, or anything) what would you do? Would you yell at him, would you let it go a couple of days of weeks before mentioning it, or would you point blank pull out of the relationship? Lets assume nothing out of the orinary happened for him to forget and you have told him the date of your birthday several times.
