you
Sometimes when things aren’t right,
Like a shoe that fits too tight.
I wake up incomplete,
No one there to warm my feet.
Taking time to look around,
Without you my life’s unwound.
Sitting there on my bed,
I remember all you said.
Your love for me, without end,
Like the poems that I send.
My love for you knows no bounds,
I hear your voice in every sound.
I wonder how, God let us meet,
An angel sent right to my feet.
When I needed it the most,
You appeared just like a ghost.
Never will my love go bad,
Like so many, end up sad.
My love for you goes on growing,
Like the Amazon always flowing.
When you said you’d be my wife,
Happiness brought to my life.
The way you make me feel inside,
I feel like lifes a carnival ride.
When you take my hand in marriage,
Soon to follow, a child, a carriage.
In Italy we’ll make our stand,
Our family begins in my homeland.
