i do believe him, shes a (unt & cheater
i know hes interested in me too, we’ve talked about it.
should i go for it? or are rebound relationships doomed to begin with?

will it prolong the process of healing IF you don’t really love your rebound? do people in rebound relationships compare their rebound to their ex? Does it make them miss their ex more compared to if they were not in a rebound relationship?

please care to answer these questions thanks :)

What are the signs and characteristics of someone being in a rebound relationship and why do these relationships typically fail? Is there a way to tell, if you aren’t the person who’s on the rebound?

Thanks!

About a month ago, my Ex and I broke up to see what else was out there. I’m still pretty hurt from it, especially since she told me shes "hanging out" with another guy, who she says is just someone fun and completely different than her normal type. She says she still misses me and that she hasn’t moved on, only that hes a nice guy. If you ask me it sounds like the classic rebound guy… completely different from me and is helping her fill my void.

I called her last week and told her its too hard for me to be her friend, when I still have a tremendous amount of feelings for her. She said if thats what I needed to do then alright, but that she really does want me in her life because im still her best friend. I told her too bad, it was obvious she had moved on in only a matter or a week or two.

Im just curious why rebound relationships involve someone completely different than the last partner. I have my college degree, a good solid job and am only 23 years old. Now shes interested in a 26 year old police man who is covered in tattoos and almost bald. Ladies help me out?
The relationship was for 2+ years. We had a great relationship until the stress of her life caused some fights, but nothing major. The last month was full of highs and lows

Say for instance, you’re a woman that just got out of serious relationship with a guy whom they thought they may marry. Only a few short weeks later the woman sees a guy from her past that she has known for the last 10 years, whom she’s never been attracted to and hasn’t seen in quite some time. Broken hearted and angry that her previous relationship has failed, the woman and the guy from her past begin dating quite heavily shortly thereafter, and enter into a relationship that would be considered a rebound relationship by definition.

Why are relationships, similar to this example, destined to fail? What makes these relationships typically fail? What makes these relationships typically work initially and then fail? Is it sex, entertainment, and distraction? Is it possible for a woman to shut down herself emotionally to her previous relationship and move on successfully so soon? If so, how? If a relationship built like this was to be successful and not considered a rebound, after how much time would have to pass in order to say it’s no longer a rebound and is now legitimate? When’s the first reality check for relationships built like? Lastly, what has to happen in order to legitimatize a relationship where the woman is on the rebound?

Thanks!
